Dear RN (Renaissance Network list), Sept. 11
I am back home, with access to the computer I use for RN messages. (BTW, I
had some trouble downloading messages that came while I was away and so all
messages sent between Aug. 18 and Aug. 31 are lost.)
The big news now is the killings going on in East Timor; I will send you two
messages on that today, with a heavy heart. I just want to take a moment to
say, too, that there are, in amongst the discouraging news, reasons to take
heart and I hope to be able to share some of those reflections with you
before too long. But for now, I think it is most important to share with you
information on how we might use the spotlight of attention on East Timor to
be in solidarity with those who have been struggling long and hard for peace
and justice there.
